On the National Mall
take a pic in front of the white house and be like “BEEN DUR DONE DAT”
1. See the original Spirit of St. Louis airplane that Charles Lindbergh flew from New York to Paris in 1927, and then learn how things fly at the National Air and Space Museum.—one of the most visited museums on the mall—thank you very much.
2. Watch films of flying saucers at the National Archives. (The films were used in Congressional... Read More

I grew up thinking I was Ariel from The Little Mermaid. Personally, when I travel, I want to know where I can swim, when is it open, how many meters it is, can I do normal human being laps or is it a pool for babies, how much does it cost, and most importantly, —-Can I sneak in for free. The answers to all these questions are below (except the last one—for that for me to know… and you to find out—another day in another blog)

this is my FAVorite!!!!!
the conventional working world where federal government lemming employees work 9-5 jobs— you get performance reviews and annual evaluations. In the pedicab world, we all want to ask each other the same question. It’s our way of comparing ourselves, judging our productivity, a performance review of sorts. Although this question is on the minds of many pedicabbers, many don’t ask, don’t tell—–... Read More

5. Rock Creek Trail— 20 miles I’d say—this one is especially my pic on the weekends because the DC area becomes closed off to cars, and its just you and the road baby! I like to start this one off in Maryland and end in DC. It is more of an uphill slant I’d say… and you pass the Zoo (check out the pandas) and the ZOO LIGHYS in the winter!
4. Custis Trail—4 miles—A nice trail from Shreve Road where the Long... Read More

This is an article my darling little cousin Yasmin Akbari wrote. Yasi, when I read this I was so proud of you. I never knew you were such a great writer. I have a lot of opinions on a lot of the things you said however and I want to share them with you. First off, I was wondering why you said the Pledge of Allegiance for the first time in high school. Did you not say it before? Did you not want to say it? Was it your way of passive rebellion? Leave... Read More

Tonight, when I was coming back from birthday celebrations, my birthday bird’s eye view perspective stumbled across the word “History” for Yelp. As the “Business Owner” I had to “Claim my Business” and fill out my “HISTORY” for Discover DC TOURS.
History? Well this is not some old lemonade stand company that turned into Mac Donalds in 1892…so I can’t top that. At first, I didn’t... Read More

I must say that whenever I get off the metro to go to my house, I secretly wish that a pedicab will be waiting for me right outside the metro. Pedicab rides are my favorite mode of transportation! Especially because I am a bag lady (meaning I always walk around with more than both of my arms full of bags)! If the spirits-of-wish-come-trues bless me with such an honarble presence, I’d be jumping for joy. The thing is, it almost never happens.... Read More

Dear Readers,
My apologies for the very few off topic blog posts. If you want to scroll down to the only part that has to do anything with Washington DC, scroll down to the phrase “5,555 51/8 Persians”. Other than that, just skip this entry unless you would like to educate yourself on some Persian Vocabulary.
For your convenience– I have provided a glossary below for Persian words with English definitions
