INTRODUCING PETER THE PEDICAB TOUR GUIDE

Peter MacNeill grew up in the 50s and 60s watching John Wayne and Errol Flynn Civil War movies on Saturday mornings. His love of history led him to become a professional licensed Washington, D.C., tourguide in 1993. Previously he passed the written National Park Service Gettysburg Battlefield Tour Guide exam. He has since conducted 1000s of bus tours in the Mid-Atlantic region. His specialty is American military history, and, in particular, the American Civil War. He has conducted tours at all the nearby battlefields. His pedicab Civil War tour covers sites from Capitol Hill to the White House and beyond. One of his most popular bus tours is the Escape Route of John Wilkes Booth and he can tell many stories on the related sites in D.C. He has developed a different perspective on the civil War that you may just learn from.

Personally, I (Shaady) would say that Peter is the most knowledgable tour guide we have. If knowledge is what you’re looking for— he’s your guy. He also has a lot of good jokes up his sleeves. If you want, you can specially request him.
